LEP’s are governed under the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).  They are authorized to perform any functions pertaining to the academic learning process or the education system or both.  LEP’s are licensed to conduct psychoeducational evaluations, diagnose psychological disorders related to learning processes,  administer and interpret diagnostic tests related to academic learning processes, provide psychological counseling (individuals, groups, and families), provide consultation to educators and parents, develop treatment programs to address problems of adjustment, and coordinate and manage intervention of individual crises.

Fees will be outlined following the initial 20-minute phone consultation. Payment for psychoeducational or cognitive evaluations is requested in two installments: 50% at the start of services and the remaining balance before the report or interpretation of results is written. Payment for counseling services is due at the time of service.

We accept payment via cash or credit card.

We do not currently accept insurance; however, we can provide a “super bill” with the necessary information if you’d like to submit for reimbursement through your insurance. If you plan to seek reimbursement, we recommend contacting your health insurance provider to inquire about your out-of-network benefits.

Psychoeducational assessments are generally not covered by health insurance, although some components may be reimbursed at a MediCal rate.

The No Surprises Act was designed to provide individuals with clear expectations about the cost of healthcare services before their appointment and to protect against unexpected medical bills. As a self-paying client, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of the total cost before services begin.

We aim to be as accessible to our clients as possible. Therefore, appointments must be canceled with at least two business days’ notice, except in the case of emergencies.

Please ensure that you cancel your appointment at least two full business days (or 48 business hours) before the scheduled time. If the appointment is not canceled within this timeframe, your credit card will be charged 50% of the cost for the missed session.

We offer a complimentary 20-minute initial phone consultation. During this time, clients or families can share their needs, ask questions, and address any concerns. Following the consultation, you will receive further details on the next steps and can decide how you’d like to proceed.
